Does this change the address customers see? +
Yes — that’s the point. Ticket email is sent through your SMTP server, so it comes from your own address on your own domain instead of the platform default.
What happens if my SMTP server goes down? +
Fixique automatically falls back to its own mailer so the customer still gets the email, records the failure, and shows a dashboard alert to the project’s managers so the credentials can be fixed.
Will Fixique overload my mail server? +
No. You set a maximum send rate per mailbox (burst control); if that limit is reached, Fixique temporarily uses its own mailer to shield your server.
How are my SMTP credentials stored? +
They’re connection-tested before they’re saved and stored encrypted at rest. They’re only ever used server-side to send your own mail.
